Welcome to Findability: Bristol's Local Offer. We hope that the information on this website will make sure that children, young adults, parents, carers, support and advocacy agencies, and service providers are as informed as possible about what is available to support and assist them. Findability is constantly getting better, and we really value your feedback on the information and how it is presented, what is included and what may be missing. We are developing this site with the support of parent carers and young people and so it will continue to change over time.
You may be using this website to find information to plan ahead, to find services to support your child and maximise their independence and inclusion, or possibly because you are in the middle of a difficult time of diagnosis or concern for your son or daughter. There are important sources of support listed for you here, please do make use of us.

What is a Local Offer?
The Children and Families Act 2014 made a law that meant Bristol City Council (and all Local Authorities) had to create a Local Offer. A ‘Local Offer’ is information on services from education, health and social care for children and young people (birth to 25 years old) with Special Educational Needs or a Disability, and their families.
In Bristol our Local Offer is on Findability. Findability has been around for a while but it needs your feedback to get better. You can leave feedback using our feedback form.
How does is work in Bristol?
We want Bristol’s Local Offer to meet the needs of children, young people and parent carers. We will do this by:
- Working with children and young persons groups and parent carer to co-produce Findability,
- Working with services, organisations and schools to make sure we get them on to Findability,
- Going out to communities to seek feedback on Bristol’s Local Offer and make sure children, young people and parent carers know about Findability.
Findability is part of the Bristol Birth to 25 Integrated Service and Collaboration. It is managed by the SEND Partnership Board who make sure your feedback is used to develop Findability and Bristol’s Local Offer.
