About the Organisation
Within our school the Foundation Stage consists of a Nursery class and two Reception classes. We have a well resourced, safe and secure shared outside learning environment as well as a shared creative area.
Throughout the Foundation Stage we are committed to providing high quality, stimulating and engaging learning experiences as required by our statutory curriculum known as the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
The children are at the centre of learning and teaching. We strive to pick up on the interests and abilities of our children, and build on them through carefully planned learning experiences.
We aim to support each individual child in reaching their full potential. We ensure children have the opportunity to develop at their own pace, having fun, making friends and learning as they play.
We actively support children in developing the skills they need to be confident, secure and independent individuals.
Each child will have a Learning Diary that will show your child’s journey through the Foundation Stage and give a picture of your child’s overall development. All of this is based on observations and discussions with your child.
