About the Organisation

Bristol Supporting Families is an Action for Children project which manages three main services.

The East-central Multi-Agency Project (EMAP) coordinate the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) panels for Bristol City Council in the East Central area and provide preventative services to children and young people aged 0-19 years who are in need of multi-agency support. Referrals can come from any professional working with a child or family and we also accept self referals from parent/carer(s).

Bristol Supporting Families also coordinates Contact Matters, Bristol that manages supervised contact between seperated parents and facilitate the Seperated Parents Information Programme (SPIP) course. The majority of referrals are taken from the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (CAFCASS) however we can also accept a limited number of direct referrals through the National Association of Child Contact Centres (NACCC) for public and private law cases.

Bristol Supporting Families also runs a project called Family Partners which offers intensive support to families where there are concerns around possible neglect.
