Milestones Homecare and Dementia Service
About the Organisation

MODS (Milestones Outreach Dementia Services) supports people with dementia in their own homes. All staff have received dementia care training and can assist with all aspects of care, practical, physical and emotional.
MODS aim to provide individual 'packages' of care that will enable each person with dementia to remain at home for longer. The approach and support package is holistic, considering the needs for emotional support, stimulation, carer support, environmental issues and all other aspects that contribute to well being rather than just simply focusing on personal care tasks.
The packages of care are very individual. The support and encouragement that a client is given is appropriate to them only. MODS emphasis is on the maintenance of the clients individuality and right to personal choice in the context of a balanced approach to risk. As a service MODS aim to increase the dignity and independence felt by a client by ensuring that they listen to clients and their wishes.

Service currently available 7:00-21:00,
7 days a week. As resources become available it is hoped that the service may extend to 24 hours.
